MASON PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Board of Education Meeting
The Mason Board of Education met in regular session at Mason School on March 01, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. Agenda and notice of meeting were posted in accordance with state open meeting laws. The President called the meeting to order and quorum to conduct business was declared at 7:33 p.m. with four members present: Dick Ladd, Danny Been, Nita Watts, and Jody Gordon. Nancy Watson was absent at roll call. There were no visitors present.
1.Board member Nita Watts took Oath of Office and signed Loyalty Oath.
2.Jody Gordon made motion, seconded by Danny Been to elect Dick Ladd as President of Board of Education. Roll call vote taken: Dick Ladd, yes; Danny Been, yes; Nita Watts, yes; and Jody Gordon, yes. Motion carried by a 4-0 affirmative vote.
Jody Gordon made motion, seconded by Danny Been to elect Danny Been as Vice-President of Board of Education. Roll call vote taken: Dick Ladd, yes; Danny Been, yes; Nita Watts, yes; and Jody Gordon, yes. Motion carried by a 4-0 affirmative vote.
Jody Gordon made motion, seconded by Danny Been to elect Nita Watts as Clerk of Board of Education. Roll call vote taken: Dick Ladd, yes; Danny Been, yes; Nita Watts, yes; and Jody Gordon, yes. Motion carried by a 4-0 affirmative vote.
3. Danny Been made motion, seconded by Nita Watts to approve minutes of regular meeting
on February 1, 2010 as recorded in ledger. Roll call vote taken: Dick Ladd, yes; Danny Been, yes; Nita Watts, yes; and Jody Gordon, yes. Motion carried by a 4-0 affirmative vote.
4. Speaking comments or presentations from a member of the public as per board policy.

5. Nita Watts made motion, seconded by Jody Gordon to approve General Fund purchase
orders 220-247, warrant numbers 808-935 and Child Nutrition purchase orders 40-44, warrant numbers 40-45. Roll call vote taken: Dick Ladd, yes; Danny Been, yes; Nita Watts, yes; and Jody Gordon, yes. Motion carried by a 4-0 affirmative vote.
